Simple child's birthday card

A very simple child's birthday card.  The circles are punched out from different sizes of cardstock. You can't see it but under the horse it does say "Happy Birthday".  This card is great to use up all those scraps of paper you have sitting around!!

February Club

One of the cards we made in February stamp club:  a lego birthday card. Of course my lego expert here at home tells me that there aren't many orange legos anymore..but it still looks like legos. He was impressed, which means a lot coming from a 12 year old boy. :)

This is the coordinating address book I made to go with the card container, filled with lots of cards.  I bought the blank address book from Oriental Trading Company and embellished it.  I will post a few of my cards in the coming days.

I haven't made one of these in such a long time!  A friend asked me to make something for her child's school auction. I decided to make a stack of cards and have them in an embellished card container.  Last minute I added an address book, which I will post later.  Anyway..I think I am going to do this for my childrens' school auction!

November Club project #2

Our second card we made this month is more of a winter theme.  The base of the card is Espresso and we stamped the tree in the same ink. We used the white gel pen to give the look of snow on the limbs. We then tore white paper and layer (which you can see in this photo) underneath the tree to look like snow.  We used Stickles (well..SU! brand which is in the Holiday mini) to accent the snow on the tree and on the ground to make the card sparkle! 

November Stamp Club

This month we started early with a Christmas theme. This it the first card we made using some old designer paper from Stampin' Up.  We used the Stitched Stocking set and punch from the current Holiday Mini Catalog, which I like!  Added a jingle bell for  little pop!   The bell on the left is gold and the one on the right is silver and smaller.  I cased this card from Splitcoaststampers.

Thanksgiving Project

I made another bag for Thanksgiving, using up some old Designer Paper from Stampin' Up.  I made the card from the scraps from the paper and used the Day of Gratitude stamp set.  I will probably slip the card in the box with either a baked treat, like a cookie or some "blessing mix" for someone special in my kids' lives like a piano teacher.  I like to thank them at Thanksgiving time to tell them what a blessing they have been in our lives.

October is breast cancer awareness month.  In honor, I made a small little project for someone I know who is going through treatment.  I found the tin bucket at Target in the Dollar section.  I made the pink ribbon and glued it to the bucket and put the jewel on it.  The little gift card is from the recent set from SU! for breast cancer called Strength and Hope.    I probably fill the bucket with either some goodies or a gift card, letting her know I am thinking and praying for her during this time.

Card #3: Loads of Love

Happy Fall Y'all!  This was the second card we made this month from the Loads of Love set.  We filled our pick up with pumpkins and used the watercolor crayons to give it some color.  The pumpkins have sparkle from glitter.

October Cards: #2

Our second card is from the retired set "Country Blessings".  I punched out a scalloped rectangle as a stencil and sponged More Mustard, Expresso, and a bit of Cherry Cobbler.  I then stamped the image and saying in Expresso.  I then sponged the edges of the card in Expresso.  Another simple but pretty card.

October stamp club card

This is probably one of my favorite fall SU! stamp sets.  It is "Day of Gratitude".  I stamped the medallion a bit off the page in soft suede.  The leaves are in espresso and pumpkin and cut out.  The pumpkin leaf is popped up on a foam dot.  The saying is inked in espresso.  On the left hand side of the card I cut a small strip of espresso paper and taped it to the card and embellished it with a pumpkin button.   I love the saying, " Gratitude can transform any ordinary day into Thanksgivings". A very simple card, but says alot in it's simplicity.

October Stamp Club projects

My October stamp club made these cute bags to hold the cards we made  this month (will follow in following posts).  The bag literally takes a few minutes to put together once you get the hang of it.  It would be great for cards, gift card or a small gift!

Handbag gift card holder

I got the pattern to make this little handbag from Becky Robert's website.  I used SU! designer paper from last years Holiday Mini.  If you are interested in making these, let me know.  There are lots of ways to make and embellish these.

September club projects

Thought I would post our September club projects.  We are attempting to make Christmas tags at each club meeting so everyone is ready for the rush of Christmas!  The stamps used in the first picture  are from "Tags Til Christmas".  The other 2 cards are also sets from Stampin' Up.  The one on the left is the "Strength and Hope" set, benefiting breast cancer research.  SU! donates money if the set is bought.  I have had several friends diagnosed this year with breast cancer and since October is breast cancer month, thought this was appropriate.  The other card is our last Halloween themed card from "Dark and Dreary'  As always, if you are interested in making any of these cards on your own, I can make a card kit for you...just let me know!

Gift for the coffee drinker

I found these great reusable coffee cups at the Dollar Tree if you can believe it!  I grabbed a few for I am looking for cheap items to give as gifts or throw in a gift basket.  I  embellished the cup, but it was so easy! I found some wide ribbon and tied it around the cup, stamped a coffee cup image with the saying "a morning without coffee ...is like sleep" (from the Morning Cup set from Stampin' Up.  Inside I may put in a small bag of coffee or a Starbucks gift certificate.  This was so inexpensive and would put a smile on someone's day..who doesn't like coffee?!

BOO!

BOO! When I came across the idea of a candy arrangement...I thought what a great use of my mummy can.  I may use it come October to "boo" my  neighbor.  How much fun would that be for the kids?!


To make the can, I bought an empty pint can at Home Depot.  I then wrapped it with gauze and inked it with brown ink to make it look aged.  For the eyes, I punched out 2 different sizes and tucked them in the gauze. 

The candy is attached to candy sticks (Wilton) with tape.  I stuck the sticks in foam that is inside the can.  Now to finish it off I will probably stamp some sentiment like " BOO to YOU" and attach it to another stick. 

Fun idea for teacher, coworker, etc.  BOO!

Halloween

Following up on my last post...here is the first card I "doctored". I made this one VERY simple. Stamped "Boo To You" on the front of the card and then a greeting of Happy Halloween on the inside. On the back of the envelope I stamped a little Halloween themed image.

Our street like to "boo" one another during the month of October, so I thought this would be great to stick in those goody bags!

Blank cards

Last night I was JoAnns getting the items my daughter needs to take a cake decorating class at the store this week. While waiting in line..this Studio G cards caught my eye! AHA! A pack of each were only a buck and there were other designs. My mind was racing.."how can I doctor these cute cards?" Got any ideas? I was even just thinking a simple verse on each would be great. I just thought the price was great: 8 cards plus envelopes for $1.00.
